Chatterbait® Lure Line Acquired

Locking in exclusive rights to all aspects of the Chatterbait® family of lures, Z-Man Fishing Products, Inc. announces that its affiliate has acquired from Rad Lures, Inc. all of the trademarks, patents, designs, trade dress rights and other intellectual property associated with the Chatterbait® brand. Included in the deal is the wildly popular original Chatterbait® and all related lures created after the Chatterbait® burst onto the scene in 2006.

Commenting on the transaction, Jonathan Zucker, President of Z-Man, said, "We believe there are significant opportunities for future growth across the board in the Chatterbait® line. Ron Davis, President of Rad Lures and along with his father the inventor of the Chatterbait®, was pleased with the transaction and expects to remain active in the industry.

In particular, Z-Man has its own in-house design teams and manufacturing capacity, giving it a unique ability to quickly and efficiently invent, prototype, manufacture and sell lures in the marketplace. With the recent hiring of H. D. Wood Advertising — one of the most respected names in outdoor products marketing — lures carrying the Z-Man™ brand, including the entire Chatterbait® line, will be receiving extensive national exposure at the trade and consumer level via aggressive print and TV advertising.
